Description
Titanium fasteners are ideal for applications that require both lightness and high strength. Our M5 (0.80mm) x 15mm chamfer socket cap head bolts are made from titanium grade 5 which is both extremely strong and incredibly light, having one of the the highest strength-to-weight ratios available to the industry, 30% stronger than steel and around 40% lighter. As well as the weight saving benefits, the bolts offer higher corrosion resistance than OEM bolts. The bronze PVD finish is a tough and durable coating which is four times harder than chrome, making it more resilient to corrosion and scratches

Care
Torque: use a calibrated torque wrench and the manufacturer specification.
Anti-seize: titanium can gall if fitted dry. Apply a thin layer of copper-based anti-seize to the threads when fitting into aluminium or steel.
Tools: use a well-fitting hex key and push it fully home before tightening, to avoid rounding the socket.
Cleaning: clean the coloured PVD finish with mild soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, metal polish and harsh solvents, which can wear the coating.
