Description
Titanium fasteners are ideal for applications that require both lightness and high strength. Our M5 x (0.80mm) 15mm fairing / bodywork / screen bolts are made from titanium grade 5 which is both extremely strong and incredibly light, having one of the the highest strength-to-weight ratios available to the industry, 30% stronger than steel and around 40% lighter, reducing unsprung and rotational mass. As well as the weight saving benefits, the bolts offer higher corrosion resistance than OEM bolts. The black PVD finish is a tough and durable coating which is four times harder than chrome, making it more resilient to corrosion and scratches.

Care
Torque: fairing and bodywork fasteners are low torque. Tighten by hand with the correct Torx or hex bit and do not overtighten, as plastic panels can crack.
Anti-seize: titanium can gall if fitted dry. A thin layer of copper-based anti-seize on the threads helps when fitting into metal threads.
Cleaning: clean the coloured PVD finish with mild soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, metal polish and harsh solvents, which can wear the coating.
